2018 WAS ONE HECK OF A YEAR!

JAQ

2018 started off with bringing a new fur baby into our home. Gus finally got a black lab puppy brother named Jaq. The girls are obsessed with Cinderella and since we already had a Gus, it only seemed right that our next pup would be Jaq. The darling duo, much like Cinderella’s mice!

DISNEY WORLD

This past year was filled with lots of adventures and firsts. The girls went on their very first vacation to Disney World! We ate lots of food, got photos and character signatures, watched fireworks in Magic Kingdom and went on plenty of rides. It was a magical trip and the girls had a blast!

BIRTHDAY

Our little miracles turned two! How in the world are they already two?!? We celebrated with friends and family with a Two-tti Frutti themed party. It was the first time many extended family members met the girls due to their first birthday being canceled due to illness. The food was delicious, the treats were phenomenal and the girls had so much fun!

THE BIG MOVE

We packed our bags and headed north. That’s right, we moved to Gaylord! Nestled into the middle of the woods we have our little slice of Northern Michigan heaven. We love everything Gaylord has to offer. The friendly people and small community is exactly what we want and it doesn’t hurt that we are less than an hour away from Mackinac Island!

MACKINAC ISLAND

We were blessed to be able to spend nearly every weekend on Mackinac Island this summer. So many new island firsts for the girls this year. They went on carriage rides, threw stones into the lake. They ate lots of ice cream, strolled around town and went swimming at the Grand Hotel. We dined at some fabulous restaurants and even participated in the Lilac Parade. We even met 2017 Miss Michigan too! We are so blessed to call Mackinac Island our home away from home.

IN THE NEWS

The girls made quite a few appearances in the news this year! The University of Michigan featured them a few times, most notably in their state-wide helmet therapy campaign. The girls were also featured on the front page of the Gaylord Herald Times, in the Mackinac Island Town Crier and in the nightly news on Channel 9&10!

WHAT 2019 HOLDS

We can’t wait for 2019! The girls get to head back to Disney World for the second time. We will also be having their third birthday party, a Frozen Celebration. The launch of my children’s book and the grand opening on The Mackinac House will be happening too. My mom and step-dad will be the Innkeepers there as well and opens in the Spring of 2019! The girls also start pre-school in the Fall. I’m personally dreading it but I know they will love it. So many firsts for us and we can’t wait to see what else 2019 has in store.

THANK YOU

A big thank you to all of our followers. Thank you for showing so much interest in our family and appreciating Josie, Rosie and Ellie as much as we do. We hope you have a joyous new year and many blessings for you all in 2019!
