In this darling new book, triplet sisters Josie, Rosie and Ellie learn how important it is to share, take turns and problem solve to make their island adventure fun for the whole family. Triple the Fun on Mackinac Island is an engaging fictional story in an 8” x  8”, 32-page, soft-cover book and not only does it include breathtakingly beautiful illustrations by talented artist, Natalia Wohletz but it also includes author, Victoria Buursma’s hard-earned tips and insight on child-friendly Mackinac Island activities.

Another interesting fact about Josie, Rosie and Ellie – they were born three months premature! Following their birth at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Buursma strived to share her parenting stories to help guide new parents through obstacles of parenting preemies, especially multiples. What Buursma quickly realized is that even though life is often chaotic, it’s also full of love and adventure.

Triple the Fun on Mackinac Island is already making its way into homes all over the country. Mary Betz Hale wrote “I love Mackinac Island and just loved this book. The story really touches on the magical charm of the island. I really enjoyed all of the tips at the back of the book! I have lots of great ideas for when I bring my grandchildren up to the island for the first time. It will also make a great souvenir.” Regina Orlandi Larrimer said, “Read it, loved it and can’t wait to have my twin granddaughters read it as well!”

Thanks to a contribution made by Mackinac Island resident and businessman, Bob Benser along with the Cottage Inn of Mackinac, Good Day Café, Island Slice Pizzeria, Original Murdick’s Fudge, Pink Pony and The Mackinac House, Buursma was able to donate one book to each room in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at C.S. Mott.

This book is also presented by regional publisher, Mackinac Memories LLC who are dedicated to creating books about Mackinac Island.
